AI flight instructor & examiner

Train smarter.
Fly better.

Talk through your private pilot oral with a voice CFI, face a by-the-book examiner, and follow a study plan built around your test dates.

Why Aviant

Checkride prep shouldn't wait for your instructor's schedule. Aviant is an examiner on demand: it asks the hard questions, grades you against the ACS, and explains every answer until it sticks.

Learn it out loud

Teach mode is a patient voice CFI. Ask anything, hear it explained in plain language, and get quizzed until it sticks.

CFI

Before you enter Class B airspace, what do you need from ATC?

You

Two-way radio contact?

CFI

That’s enough for Class C and D. Bravo needs an explicit clearance: you have to hear “cleared into the Class Bravo.” Hearing your callsign isn’t enough.

Drill the knowledge test

306 practice questions across every area, drawn fresh each attempt with shuffled answers. The ones you miss come back on a spaced-repetition schedule.

Unless otherwise authorized, Class D airspace normally extends from the surface up to

  • 2,500 feet above the airport elevation
  • 3,000 feet AGL
  • 4,000 feet MSL

Charted in MSL on the sectional, but normally 2,500 ft above the field. AIM 3-2-5

What Aviant does

Student pilots study alone most of the week, and the oral is the part nobody can cram from a book. Aviant gives you a CFI who explains things out loud and an examiner who asks the follow-up you were hoping to avoid. It keeps track of what you know, what you keep missing, and how many days you have left.

We don’t sign you off.

Only your CFI can endorse you, and only an examiner can pass you. Aviant gets you ready for both. Every answer cites the regulation, the AIM, or the handbook it came from, and when the material doesn’t cover something, it says so instead of guessing.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

01Does Aviant replace my flight instructor or examiner?

No. Aviant is a study aid that helps you prepare between lessons. Your training, endorsements, and checkride still come from an authorized CFI and an FAA-designated pilot examiner.

02Which ratings are supported?

Private Pilot (Airplane) today, built around the FAA's Airman Certification Standards. Instrument Rating is coming soon, and Commercial and CFI are on the roadmap.

03How does the voice assistant work?

It's one AI assistant with two modes. Teach mode behaves like a CFI: it explains concepts and answers your questions. Examine mode behaves like a DPE: it asks scenario-based oral questions, follows up on weak answers, and grades you against the ACS.

04Where does the study material come from?

Questions and guides are built around the FAA's Airman Certification Standards and cite 14 CFR, the AIM, and FAA handbooks so you can always check the source.

05What does it cost?

Aviant is free while we're in beta. Create an account and you get full access to the voice assistant, question bank, quizzes, and study guides.

06Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. Aviant runs in any modern browser on desktop or mobile. Voice works best in Chrome, Edge, and Safari.
